It seems like only yesterday that pulling an all nighter was no big deal. I remember so vividly one time I stayed up all night to finish some lab work before the meeting the next morning. On the bus ride to the meeting, I kept thinking I saw things moving out of the corner of my eye. Granted, I would have to sleep for 17 hours to recover from these episodes, but I could be back to normal relatively soon and ready to do it all over again. Now, however, I can barely function in any sort of working capacity past midnight. Even with an energy drink, my exhaustion cannot be overridden. Right now, for example, I have a ton of work I should be doing, and even though I finished an entire Monster drink, I am still completely exhausted!
I can't help but wonder, am I past the point where all hours of the day are potential hours for productivity? Will I ever be able to pull an all-nighter again? If not, then considering my school and work responsibilities are markedly increasing, maybe I should stop procrastinating so much and actually start doing my work during the day... Nahhh, on second thought, I think I'll just find some stronger energy drinks.
